DJ Pauly D, Down With Webster, Mia Martina and DRU, come to Mile One Centre Saturday, April 14, 2012!
DJ Pauly D, recognized for his musical talent as well as his reality star status on MTV's Jersey Shore, was named one of VIBE Magazine's 'Top 6 DJs Who Rocked 2011.' His eclectic track selection, unique style and infectious personality captivate crowds around the globe. His music library spans nearly every age genre of club music and he has the exceptional ability to mix in and out of top 40 and house music, introducing an entirely new demographic to dance music. In 2010, Pauly D released his first single with Universal Republic Records entitled, Beat Dat Beat, which quickly climbed the charts, further establishing his place in pop culture.
Making a return visit back to St. John's since the JUNOs in 2010, the Canadian rap-rock group Down With Webster, also known as DWW, will also perform at Spring Fling 2012. Their radio hit 'Rich Girls' initiated their major- label debut back in 2009 with their mini-album Time to Win, Vol. 1. Their second album, Time to Win, Vol. 2 was released in 2011 and features the single, 'She's Dope.' The six-man band has sold over 50,000 albums and nearly 500,000 singles.
Mia Martina's debut album, Devotion, was released in August of 2011 and has put her in a worldwide spotlight with her newest release 'Latin Moon.' Martina is a trilingual Canadian singer from New Brunswick, who is known for her remix of 'Stereo Love;' a Euro hit by Edward Maya, from dance music's biggest record label, Ultra Records.
Singer, songwriter and dancer DRU released his solo debut album, The One, in 2008. Known for his first three singles, 'The One,' 'Stay with Me (Always),' and 'Seasons,' he has been identified by Billboard Magazine as 'one of the most emerging Canadian artists,' and has gained international recognition as a force in the industry both as a performer and songwriter. DRU's new album On The Brink, features his latest single, 'Getting It In.'
